I have naturally curly hair, so when I straighten it or get a blowout (which, to me, is like a little slice of heaven), I try to make it last as long as possible. I will wear a shower cap to bathe so the steam won't get to it, I won't put product on my roots (makes it oilier faster) and I am not above the occasional use of baby power to absorb oil. It is a bad habit that I need to stop.
Lately there seems to be more options for dry shampoo so I decided to try a couple. I purchased Oscar Blandi Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray and TRESemme Freshstart and they both gave me an extra day on styled hair. Oscar comes in travel size (a big pro for me) but it kind of smells like a lemon-based cleaning product (not much of a pro). TRESemme won't break the bank and smells nice. While they work, I think I'm going to try some more to see if there is an even better product out there. I will keep you posted!
Also there is Bumble and Bumble hair powder. It's not technically a dry shampoo, but it's colored, so it helps blend roots between colorings, and it adds texture and volume, especially good if you are putting your hair up.
