Signature Scent

I was walking through Target yesterday, and I caught a whiff of a perfume a girl I used to know in college wore (I'm pretty sure it is Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue). I haven't seen her since graduating, but it was amazing how just a quick sniff made me think of her. (Emily N., sending happy thoughts your way wherever you are now!) I always think it is interesting when celebrities talk about their "signature scents" in magazines. I feel like knowing whether they love super girly florals (Creed's Spring Flower was created for Audrey Hepburn, and supposedly, Julia Roberts wears it), homey food-like scents (Denise Richards likes Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Abricot--don't ask me why I know this!) or spicy men's cologne (Kelly Rowland wears Bois D'Argent by Dior) is really more intimate than hearing about what they wore to the interview. I have a few perfumes sitting on my dresser, but I pretty much always wear the same one, Pure Grace by Philosophy. I think it smells like French milled soap, crisp, clean with a little bit of spice. What is your signature scent??

  2. It used to be a combination of Archipelago Body Milk body wash, which has a scent that really lingers, with SJP Lovely on top. When I first smelled Lovely alone, I though it smelled like old ladies...now it's the only thing I wear — the satin kind, NOT the regular perfume...something about it is more oily, so it goes on soft and smooth.

On days when someone in the house has a cold and I don't want to add any more potential allergens to the mix, I stick to just Johnson's baby oil right out of the shower — soft and clean.
