Over the summer, I was heading to the Alexander McQueen exhibit with my mother-in-law and her fabulous designer nephew. We needed an afternoon caffeine boost before standing in the museum line (average lines were one to two hours) so we popped into what we thought was a little cafe but was so much more. We enjoyed chocolates and cappuccinos at Vosges, the ultimate chocolate store and cafe.
Vosges Chocolate was started by Katrina Markoff, who is a Vandy grad (our alma mater), and sells delicious chocolates inspired by Markoff's global apprenticeships in Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia. While she has an array of offerings, I love her exotic bar collection which has combinations I have never seen before, like Mo's Milk Chocolate Bacon Bar (Hickory smoked bacon + Alderwood smoked salt + deep milk chocolate) or the Black Pearl Exotic (Ginger + wasabi + black sesame seeds + 55% dark chocolate ). Yum!
Vosges has boutique in New York, Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles but they sell to retail stores across the US. If you spot some I highly recommend trying it!
