In honor of my co-blogger's birthday this week and with a holidays approaching, I thought I would share a little happy hour! It's a classic, but it will serve you well through the holiday season. A kir royale is delicious, glamorous and easy! Ready for this? Pour a splash of creme de cassis in the bottom of a champagne flute (about a tablespoon), and fill with with champagne. If you're feeling really fancy, you can drop a blackberry in the bottom or garnish with some curled orange peel. Now you're set with a go-to through New Year's Eve!
